PECULIARITIES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES IN CONTENPORARY FINE ARTS, ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN: Research Conference

The Russian Academy of Arts invites artists, architects, art historians, specialists in restoration to take part in the Research Conference “Peculiarities of the Development of Techniques and Technologies in Contemporary Fine Arts, Architecture and Design”, that will take place at the Russian Academy of Arts, 21 Prechistenka street, Moscow on March 13-14, 2013.

Topics to be discussed:

- development and application of innovative techniques, technologies and materials in contemporary fine arts;

- new architecture: dream city and reality;

- correlation of traditions and innovations in the theater set design;

- decorative art in the space of contemporary visual culture;

- synthesis of arts as searches for new forms of visual depiction;

- design and new technologies: artistic transformation of the human environment;

- restoration of works of fine arts and architecture, monuments of history: research and methodological problems;

- study of development processes of visual communications in today’s environment and their technological peculiarities;

- inventions in art – on the verge of creativity and science;

- license in the field of art – questions and problems.

Research conferences “Art and Science in Modern World” are a joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts and Russian Academy of Sciences. It is an integral part of these Academies’ programs of fundamental researches, as well as an important stage in the study of problems of integration of scientific knowledge and creative experience in art, their role in the formation of world culture. The conferences unite eminent figures of science and art, representatives of elder generation and young people. The variety of problems for discussion and interdisciplinary context of the conferences emphasize their actual significance and potential for future development.
