ART-WORKSHOP/CREATIVE SPACE: Research and Practical Project of the Russian Academy of Arts

The Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO International Chair for Fine Arts and Architecture and Youth Council of the Russian Academy of Arts invite you to take part in the Art- Workshop/Creative Space Project which is an experimental discussion platform for figures of art, artists, art historians, art critics, all those who are interested in the problems of modern culture.

One of the project’s goals is to involve young scientists and artists in studying the  Russian art history, searching new research, educational and creative approaches, actualization of terminology.

The program includes a number of creative meetings, lectures, seminars, master classes to discuss problems connected with the research and understanding Russian art in the second half of the 20th – early 21st century, creative work of members of the Russian Academy of Arts, Russian artists and Russian cultural heritage in the context of world art processes.

The materials will be published in the Academy’s site www.rah.ru and annual scientific collections.

The first panel discussion on the topic “Terms of Russian Art for the Last 50 Years. 1960-2014” will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on March 26, 2014.

The author of the program’s concept is Peter Baranov,  post-graduate of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts, member of the Youth Council of the Russian Academy of Arts.
