Jubilee Events at the I.Repin Estate-Museum “Penaty”

In 2014 Russia is marking the 170th birth anniversary of the eminent Russian artist Ilya Repin and the 115th anniversary of the “Penaty” Estate-Museum. The jubilee events that will take place on August 5, 2014 include:

12.00 – flower laying ceremony at the grave of Ilya Repin in the park of the “Penaty” Estate-Museum

12.30 – official ceremony in the Homer Square

13.30 – excursion in the Estate-Museum “Penaty”

14.30 – the summer studio of I. Repin Estate-Museum: opening of the exhibition of the 19th - early 20th century masters of Russian painting from a private collection of St. Petersburg “KGallery”. The exhibition is a dedication to Ilya Repin’s close friends and pupils, on display are works of outstanding Russian painters Vasili Polenov, Ivan Shishkin, Victor Vasnetsov, V.A. Serov, B.M. Kustodiev, A.P. Bogolyubov, A.K. Beggrov and others. The exhibition’s catalogue contains not well-known works of Russian painters from I. Repin Estate that in 1920 were presented by the artist to Atheneum Museum in Helsinki.
