A Working Session of the Leaders of the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Arts

On February 3, 2015 at the Russian Academy of Arts, 21 Prechistenka street there was held a working session of the Russian Academy of Education represented by its President L.A. Verbitskaya, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Presidium Y.P. Zinchenko, Academicians-Secretaries of the Academy’s departments with the Russian Academy of Arts represented by its First Vice-President and Chief Scientific Secretary of the Presidium O.A. Koshkin, Vice-President A.A. Zolotov, Deputy President S.P. Kolov.
The discussion dealt with problems related to the current reorganization of state academies in Russia, as well as with main directions of the close collaboration between the above Academies in such areas as education, art and science.
The session was proceeded in the Academy’s exhibition halls where the session’s attendees saw a solo show of S.P. Lomov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education and Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The exhibition was also attended by Mr. Albert Jonsson, the Ambassador of Iceland to the Russian Federation with his spouse who appreciated Lomov’s series of water colors depicting the nature and culture of Iceland. He thanked the Russian Academy of Arts for its contribution to strengthening of cultural ties between the two countries.
