The history of the unique headscarves and shawls from the old town of Pavlovsky Posad near Moscow which are the glory of Russian national folk arts and crafts dates back to 1795. In December 2018-March 2019 the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg presented a major exhibition “Headscarves and Shawls in Russia in the XVIII-XXI Centuries” showcasing the products of the Pavlovsky Posad Headscarves Manufacture Co as an example of preservation of the centuries long
art traditions of fabrics production in Russia.
