The Russian Academy Of Arts

The Department of Art History and Art Criticism of the Russian Academy of Arts(RAA)  and the Department of International Art of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the RAA invite you to take part in the research conference “From the History of Art Collecting: Philanthropists, Art Collectors, Founders of Museums”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on October 21-23, 2020.

 

The Conference deals with the activity of foreign and Russian philanthropists and art collectors; artworks collecting by Russian merchants and industrialists; activity of founders of museums, the enlightening role of organizers of art studios and publishers.   

 

The applications shall be mailed to the Department of International Art of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the RAA: niirah-zaris@yandex.ru till June 01, 2020. The travelling and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the sending party. The Organizing Committee is entitled to reject the applications if topics of the papers do not correspond to the Conference theme.
