The Russian Academy Of Arts

The Design and Innovative Art Technologies Department of the Russian Academy of Arts invites you to attend the Research Conference “Fashion Congress. From Nadezhda Lamanova to the Present. Vogue and Theatrical Costume”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on October 13, 2021 at 12.00.

 

In 2021, the 160^th birth anniversary of the founder of the Russian fashion traditions Nadezhda Lamanova is being marked in Russia. Taking into the account the fashion designer’s jubilee the Conference will include facts about her life, work and creative searches, as well as ways of debunking of established myths and proving of reliable facts. There will also be shown a reconstruction of the 18^th century historical theatrical costumes of the Russian Imperial Court. The theme of the interaction of fashion and scenic costumes will be continued in the lecture about the work of Vyacheslav Zaitsev in the field of design and theatrical costume.
