The Russian Academy Of Arts

The Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts invites you to take part in the research conference “The Regional Art Traditions: Origins, Transformations, Prospects of Development”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on October 18-20, 2023.

 

The “regional art tradition” topic is suggested to be discussed:

-within culture and art in a certain era;

-in the context of nostalgia for the past;

-as a reflection and adaptation of features of art cultures in a certain region in the art of other countries;

-in the comparative and historical meaning;

-in the aspect of formation of new aesthetic systems;

-in relation to the interpretation of the notion of “school”;

-in connection with the problem of creation and interaction of styles;

-in relation to the problem of the synthesis of arts;

-on the example of travel notes, sketches and the so-called travelogues that developed into a separate literary genre.
