On September 30, 2013 the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli presented the Lebanese artist, art historian and public figure Nizar Daher with the regalia of an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

At the two-day exhibition in Tsereteli Art Gallery on October 24-25, 2013 Sotheby’s will present selected works called the most valuable show ever in Russia. The exhibition targeting Russian collectors precedes Sotheby’s auctions to be held this autumn and winter in London and New York and includes 45 works valued at a total of more than $140 million. Among them are masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Alberto Giacometti, Nickolai Feshin, Robert Falk, as well as works by modern artists and Russian Imperial porcelain.

On October 18, 2013 Prof. Dmitry Shvidkovsky, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Academician-Secretary of the RAA Department of Art History and Art Criticism, Doctor of Art History gave a master-class on the topic “Russian-Italian Ties in the History of Architecture” at I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. The master-class organized under the auspices of the Italian Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg was attended by the Rector of I. Repin Institute Semen Mikhailovsky, students and teachers of St. Petersburg art institutes.

On October 10, 2013 at the award ceremony in honor of the 90th anniversary of N.V. Sklifasovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care at the State Kremlin Palace Honorable Mentions and Medals were presented to the Director of N. V. Sklifasovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care M. Khubutia, Honorable Director of the Institute A. Yermolov, chief researcher of the Institute’s Department of General Resuscitation V. Kartavenko, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V. Krylov, Rector of St. Petersburg I. Pavlov State Medical University S. Bagnenko, President of the Russian Academy of Arts Z. Tsereteli.

On October 9, 2013 in San Anton Presidential Palace in the city of Valetta in Malta there was an unveiling ceremony for the restored Russian Orthodox Chapel of St. George the Victorious attended by Russian and Maltese officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Within the framework of his official visit to Russia His Serene Highness Prince of Monaco Albert II visited a solo show of the internationally recognized sculptor Mateo Mornar in Tsereteli Art Gallery. The event was attended by the Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky, members of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, figures of culture and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Moscow.

On July 26, 2013 the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky visited Tsereteli Art Gallery and Moscow studio of the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli. During the meeting they discussed the strategy of the development of art education in Russia, problems relating to the multi-sided activity of the Russian Academy of Arts as well as its partnership with the Russian Military History Society established according to the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2013.
The Imperial Russian Military History Society was set up in 1907 and existed till the Revolution of 1917.
